The Spartan tennis team enjoyed many solid performances on their way to a 4-0 finish at their own Invite this weekend. First was a 4-3 win over East Troy where all four singles swept their way to victory, highlighted by Peyton Smith’s 7-6, 6-0 victory to clinch the win. Then the team notched a 6-1 win over Brown Deer where the singles once again swept and were joined by Logan Allender and Jordan Zhou at 2 doubles and Franky Rocha and Owen Laack at 3 doubles.
On Saturday the team turned in perhaps their most complete win of the season in beating Lake Country Lutheran/Milwaukee Lutheran 6-1. The doubles swept this time, and everyone played well. Josh Klement’s third-set victory at 1 singles was a highlight. Finally the team finished off a perfect weekend with a 4-3 win over Luther Prep where the singles swept yet again.
