The swim team swam past Cudahy in a dual at Milwaukee Lutheran. WOW! Did they swim fast or what? The guys swam their best all around meet of the year with the younger newer swimmers getting a lot of best times and some of the veteran swimmers doing the same. More fun to watch is guys swimming something different, maybe a new event.
The individual swims that were best times included Potter Kan (ML) in the 200 IM with a time of 2:52.53. Eli Hance (ML) with a time of 2:57.70 also in the IM. Bobby Julga (LCL) with a best time of 1:13.55 in the 100 fly. Mark Dixon (LCL) with a best time of 1:20. 16 in the 100 back. Also in the 100 back was Jobe Griffin (MLHS) with a time of 1:23.55. He also had a fast 50 free in 26.38. JT Kohlmeier (MLHS) had a best time in a “new” event, 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:34.10. Joey Vavruska (MLHS) had 2 best times in the 100 free (57.00) and the 100 breaststroke (1:10.16).
After Christmas practices and a bit more time added to practice, swimmers usually find a swim meet or 2 where the times take some drops. I believe one of those was this meet. Just a lot of good swims. I have noticed the guys being a bit more tired before we get in the water and get moving. It tells me they are working hard and giving some good efforts in practice.
